Pricing Updates and What’s New for the 26/27 Season
Dear Friends of the ASO,
As we prepare for our 81st season, I keep coming back to what your ASO really means. This orchestra is not separate from the community around it. It belongs to the people who live here, gather here, and believe music has a place in the life of this city.
That belief is at the center of our vision: Great Music for Every Life!
This season, we are making several updates to help bring that vision to life. They are designed to make it easier for you, your family, and the next generation of concertgoers to experience live orchestral music in Anchorage.
Expanding Access for Young People
One of the changes I am most proud of is our new youth ticket pricing.
For our classic concerts, youth tickets are just $15.
It means young people can sit in great seats at the same youth price, no matter where those seats are located. It means families have more freedom to choose the concert experience that works best for them. And it means more students, young musicians, and first-time concertgoers can experience this orchestra live.
At a time when access to live music matters more than ever, this is one of the most important investments we can make in the future of your ASO and our community.
More Ways to Subscribe
Our traditional subscription options remain unchanged: the 5-concert Classic Series is still the best way to experience the full Classics season, and the 3-concert Applause Series continues as a shorter fixed-seat option with subscriber benefits.
New this season, we are also adding a 3-concert Movie Pass Series.
This new package brings together three of the most popular and accessible concerts your ASO presents each year. We’re thrilled with the titles, and we hope you will be too!
Atwood Seating Updates
Beginning this season, the Atwood Concert Hall will move from four seating zones to six. This gives patrons more choices at different price points and allows pricing to better reflect seating throughout the hall.
Most entry-level adult ticket prices will remain mostly unchanged. Some premium sections will increase, particularly in high-demand areas.
Your renewal form will show your seats, your seating zone, and your subscription total. View the new seating chart here.
An Easier Way to Renew
Renewing your subscription is also easier this year.
Your email invitation (and your forthcoming renewal form) includes a customized QR code or link created specifically for your subscription. You can use it to review your order, confirm or change your seats, add concerts, and check out online.
Of course, you may also renew by filling out and returning the renewal form to our office or by going directly to our website. These will be delivered in mid-July.
If you need help, we are happy to take your order over the phone. Contact us M-Th 10am-4pm (summer hours) at 907-274-8668.
Thank you so much for making live symphonic music part of our community. Your subscription helps make all this possible, and I am grateful for your continued support of your ASO. I look forward to welcoming you back for another memorable season in the Atwood Concert Hall.
Sincerely,
Nick Cooper, Executive Director
Anchorage Symphony Orchestra
