Commemorating the 150th Anniversary of the United States’ purchase of Alaska from Russia, your Anchorage Symphony performs excerpts from the quintessential Russian opera, Mussorgsky's Boris Godunov. This masterpiece has been touted as a revolutionary folk drama set in the art of opera that amazes with its boldness, breadth, and dramatic fireworks.
